laurus_nobilis: (Fascinating!)
Finally, one of these that I think I can finish without getting stumped. XD I'm doing it multifandom. Less brain-breakage that way.

Day 1: Your favourite character

Oh, take a wild guess... )

ETA: adding a clip! )

But I can't turn off my brain. :P

Anyway. One of the things I did during the past few weeks, while I was on vacation, was watch a whole lot of TNG. Everyone knows that Transformers is currently one of my main fandoms. And I don't need to say I love crossovers, do I? So I couldn't help but think that, well, since Starscream and Skyfire's job back in the good old days involved a lot of exploring strange new worlds and boldly going where no bot has gone before, a Star Trek crossover would be really neat.

But I was safe from the bunnies, right? Because I might have crazy ideas, but I'm still nitpicky. Star Trek is set in the future. Those two were travelling millions of years in the past. So for a few days, I was relieved!

And then I stopped to think and realized:

1. G1 has canon time travel, both the "on purpose" and the "totally random" varieties.
2. Star Trek is full of time travel, random alternate timelines, and other timey wimey stuff.
3. When all else fails, Q.

... so yeah I might have to write this now. When I clean off my current plot bunny list a bit. And I have to decide if it'd be TOS or TNG - Scotty or Data, that is the question. XD

Seriously. I don't need any more bunnies, especially the kind that threaten to be long. But.

"Any signs of life forms?"
"The ship is the life form, Captain."

I am the nerdiest nerd that has ever lived, yes, I know.

My love for Galaxy Quest knows no bounds. Seriously. ♥ It's one of those movies I just have to stay and watch whenever I find it. Especially when I haven't seen it in ages. Like right now. :P

It's just so. SPOT ON. It makes fun of the show and it makes fun of the fandom, but it does it with a lot of love, really. And still... it manages to laugh at everything. And it has the best lines ever. XD "Because my character isn't important enough for a last name, because I'm gonna die five minutes in!" "I see you've managed to get your shirt off." "THIS EPISODE WAS BADLY WRITTEN!"

Not to mention it gave me reason #241357 to love George Takei, who called it "a chillingly realistic documentary". XD

Oh, and because it seems everything leads to giant robots lately: so this is why Blitzwing's "never give up, never surrender" was so familiar! XDDDD I'm a bad fan. How could I forget the TAGLINE.

Also, the dorky references in TFA win at everything. But we knew that already.

Star Trek!

The short version is what I told my sister as soon as the movie ended: I AM THE MOST STUPIDLY HAPPY PERSON IN THE UNIVERSE.

the long spoilery version, with incoherent babbling and CAPSLOCKS OF SQUEE )
