THUNDERCAAAATS and a Transformers meme

So, who else is watching the new Thundercats? Because I'm loving it so far. =D

That cartoon used to be my childhood, you know. And I remember that I already had a Cheetarah toy when we moved to Mar del Plata so I must have been... around six, or so, when they showed it here. But I remember quite a lot! More than I remember about G1, in fact. |D I remember I liked everyone - except Lion-O. He annoyed me for some reason. My favourite from the main cast was Cheetarah, but my actual favourite was Jaga. (Awww, Lau's very first Dead Wise Old Mentor!) And I remember thinking Mumm-Ra was badass.

Now, in the new continuity? I love everyone INCLUDING LION-O. How did this happen? XDDD I'm not going to pick a favourite character yet, though, I want to see how things turn out. (Hint: it will probably be Jaga anyway.) And the plot! The worldbuilding! The music! The references! This promises to be a pretty epic cartoon.

The only spoilery thing I have to say about it is that I refuse to believe Panthro is actually dead. WE NEED TO GET A PANTHRO.

Day 1 - Favorite Autobot


I don't care if it's predictable, my very favourite Autobot (and favourite character!) across every continuity I know is still G1!Optimus. He's good and kind and everyone's dad and adorable and cheesy and a dork and kind of a loser sometimes, really, but I love him that way. ♥ And I'm not talking with a nostalgia filter, here, I keep rewatching G1 all the time. The guy's just great.

Buuuut it seems really unfair to compare people from other continuities with THE Optimus Prime. So, details!

TFA: Proooowl ♥ He's a ball of lots of things I love all blended together and it somehow works. You adorkable tree-hugger Jedi, you. ♥

TFP: Optimus again! He's less silly than the G1 version, but still so nice and everyone's dad.

Bayverse: ... Bumblebee is the only one I still like, actually. XD

Dreamwave: JETFIRE HOW I LOVE YOU LET ME COUNT THE WAYS.

Beast Wars: There's no separate question about Maximals, so, he goes in this one: Rattrap! And he kind of breaks the pattern, I know, I know. XD

Also, Panthro, not dead at all, they even gave him the super samurai design with the crazy ponytail on the back. You know we'll be seeing him, he probably looked like he died but didn't (you know, they type of death where they "fall of a cliff" or something and all the bad guys just assume they're dead but never check for a body) ;)

I'm wondering if we'll ever see Lynx-O again (still in love with the design and also the voice), but I don't think we'll have him any time soon. Also would like to see a redesign of Pumyra but Bengali can stay home, he was always a copy of Tygra anyway
