Transformers fics I want to write... eventually
This fandom is eating my braaaaaain.
Yes, I know I have a lot of fics to write before I even think of starting with any of these. (Including that drabble meme from weeks ago I didn't even touch - I haven't forgotten!) But that's precisely why I'm posting this, since I don't want to forget any of these bunnies.
I mean. They're a lot.
Also, all spoilers for season 3 of TFA are in white font and properly marked, so it's safe to look. o/
The serious or semi-serious
★ TFA - This took me by surprise, but... I want to write about Sentinel. In a not-silly context, even. The guy is a jerk, yes, but he's an interesting character; he gets chance after chance of developing and changing for the better, and he blows every single one of them out of pride or spite or both. I want to write about him finally getting over himself. This should also include a lot of Optimus, which is of course a Very Good Thing.
Besides, Optimus still has things to learn, too. Especially when to let other people solve their own problems. :/ It'd be interesting to write about them bringing out the best of each other for a change. Not becoming best friends again, that's... not really going to happen. But I can see them slowly regaining some respect for each other again.
Of course this would be so much easier if I had any idea of how to do this or where to start. :P What I do know is [SPOILERS FOR THE FINALE START HERE]that I'll probably have Ultra Magnus be alive, because that's one huge source of tension less, at least. (Although it'd still be pretty clear that Optimus is going to be the next Magnus, but at least they wouldn't be dealing with that for the moment.) And Optimus would still be on Cybertron doing... stuff. Which means he'd also have to deal with being a leader for more than a handful of people.[END SPOILERS]
I'll have to think about this more. A lot more. But it would be cool if I come up with a solid idea for this one.
★ TFA - The very premise of this one is a huge spoiler for the finale, so highlight to read: Ratchet helps Omega Supreme and Arcee deal with, well, being awake after all that time. I think poor Omega would have the most trouble here, because he wasn't ever really meant to live in peaceful times. They need to find him something to do.
I don't want it to be angsty, though. With the right tone it can be a big pile of fluffy friendship.
★ G1 - I want to write something, even if it's just a little thing, where Skyfire's life doesn't suck. I mean, seriously. The guy needs a ton of hugs. :( I have only a very, very vague idea here, but I do know it'll probably include Bumblebee. He's the one I can most easily imagine approaching people and being randomly friendly and all that. Also, Bumblebee is adorable and makes everything better.
The reason this one's listed as "semi-serious" and not "silly" when I want it to be a random happy vignette is that, well, Skyfire's life sucks. It's hard not to acknowledge that. :/ BUT that shouldn't be mentioned any more than strictly necessary, since I want this to focus on the not sucking part.
The silly
★ TFA - Another huge spoiler for the finale: Locked up in Cybertron, Megatron plots his epic revenge. Too bad all the other captured 'cons are there. We've got Shockwave, Blitzwing, Lugnut, Liar!Starscream and Suck-up!Starscream, all being themselves. And while they're in separate cells (the Autobots don't want them to kill each other!), they're close enough to talk. And argue. And be stupid. And mostly ANNOY THE BOSS TO NO END. Should be fun. =D

drachenaugen: Megatron and Swindle bargain, both walk away absolutely convinced that they've won. This one's... a little intimidating, because I'm not sure I can make Swindle justice. I mean, I might take days to come up with a properly witty remark that Megs would think in a second, but that doesn't show in the finished fic. Thinking of a Swindle-worthy scam is a different thing entirely.
★ TFA - Blitzwing & Lugnut's Excellent Adventures. One's an implacable fanatic with a one-track mind! One's a nutcase who can't stay coherent for a whole minute! Together, they MAKE STUFF EXPLODEFOR THE GLORIOUS MEGATRON FOR THE LULZ --
... well, they make stuff explode. =DDD
★ G1 - Anything with Wheeljack. Particularly Wheeljack-and-Ratchet doing ~*~SCIENCE~*~. Or, rather, Wheeljack exploding stuff and Ratchet fixing the mess. As usual. Dinobabies optional.
Too bad I have no idea of what to write with these people. But I want to write something because I LOVE THEM SO. They're two of my favourite characters, and I've always liked those friendships between really different people. Also, ~*~SCIENCE~*~.

The inevitable crossovers
All of them with Doctor Who. Gee, I wonder why. XD
★ TFA - The infamous crossover I've been talking about for months already. Copy-pasting from a previous comment: THE ONE WHERE STARSCREAM RECRUITS CLASSIC WHO VILLAINS AND SHOWS UP AT CARDIFF TO TAKE OVER THE WORLD AND THE DOCTOR AND OPTIMUS TRY TO STOP HIM AND EVERYONE DIES A LOT AND THERE IS MUCH EPICNESS..
I, um, obviously need to flesh it out. XD And figure out when to set it, in both show's timelines. But it will be EPIC. And probably long, too, because Starscream never shuts up.
★ TFA - The Doctor travels with Blurr! [SPOILERS FOR EARLY SEASON 3]He finds the Blurr-cube, realizes there's still a spark in there, and fixes him with the Power of Genius.[SPOILERS] Then they go and have epic adventures together. This one'sfujurpreux's fault; she said the Doctor should meet Blurr to see how everyone else feels when he talks. :P
★ TFA - I have the start of this weird... thing where Blitzwing and Lugnut meet the Master. It doesn't really have a point at all except "Blitzwing can hear the drums LOL". I'll see if I can do something with that theory because, really, it would explain a lot.
★ Cybertron - Because of his "job", Vector Prime is heavily involved with Gallifrey and the Time Lords. He and the Doctor had Epic Adventures. Also, he was not happy about the Time War.
★ G1 - Optimus and Megatron are regenerations of the Doctor and the Master. I BLAME THIS ONE ALMOST ENTIRELY ONsolesakuma. And I say "almost" because, obviously, my brain immediately added "and Elita One is Romana". I can't help it. And all three of them practically regenerate at some point, which doesn't help. XD
If I'm ever crazy enough to try this, though, I'll have to give a lot of thought to what to do with Optimus. Not because of the Orion Pax thing, though - in fact, that's relatively easy to handwave with a Chameleon Arc. I could even justify the different personalities (not that the Doctor always kept the same personality!) with the fact that all three of them are much older and tired, if I set this much later than canon for them. Nope, my problem is the fact that Optimus is so trigger-happy and I just can't imagine the Doctor shooting people. Even the bad guys.
Doctor Who canon is weird like that; it's okay to kill the villains, it's just not okay to do it with a gun. And yes, I realize that there's something odd with my priorities if I can imagine the Doctor regenerating into a giant robot who doesn't even travel in time, but have problems dealing with the shooting. XD What can I say. It's the little details that kill me.
... on the other hand, the Master regenerating into this guy who transforms into a gun is like the ultimate in pettiness. And that alone makes this idea awesome. XD
