I kept wondering why on earth couldn't Donna be there and get to do something this week.

Someone on doctorwho said that it was because Catherine Tate was busy with Turn Left. If Donna had been there, she could've shamed the crowd well enough to rival Lady Sybil Ramkin.

The episode was... hard to pin down. It had a lot of interesting concepts, but tried to use too many and abandoned all the location-specific ones (which makes me hope that they'll revisit the planet in a later season, however unlikely that might be). Overall it left me feeling vaguely sick and more than a little uneasy, and knowing that it was supposed to doesn't make the feelings any better.
