Merlin 3x04 and fanfic meme

On the one hand, this episode felt like it was made from bits and pieces of other episodes that we've seen a thousand times already.

On the other hand... what can I say, I'm easy for the whole "let's pretend I'm a commoner except I'll give myself away because I just have to defend people" plot. For Gwaine and for Arthur, of course. We got Arthur at his best this week. I can't help it, I love the guy.

And for the meme:

Day 2: What themes or patterns do you write?

Let's go for the obvious first: I love crossovers. You've probably noticed by now. :P

Like I said in yesterday's answer, I write a lot of backstory fic. It also tends to come with what I like to call Evil Foreshadowing. Look, people! Sirius Black has a bright future ahead! Starscream's a relatively nice guy! Clow hasn't broken the multiverse yet - well, that one's a bit different because he knows there's Impending Doom for him, but the general idea is the same.

... I make it habit to make people cringe with happy fics. I don't know what this says about me.

That said, I do prefer writing about happier themes. Big Happy Families. The Power Of Friendship. OMG The World/Universe/Multiverse Is An Awesome Place Let's Go Take A Look!
