To remind me I should be working on these...

Post an excerpt from as many random works-in-progress as you can find lying around. Who knows? Maybe inspiration will burst forth and do something, um, inspiration-y.

The amount of crossovers was to be expected, but... wow, there are a lot of giant robots here. XD (Also: seriously, Starscream, you need to shut up o.O)

Ouran - That postcanon Nekozawa/Renge thing I never finished

"Tell me," she said, her voice very firm as she looked at him straight in the eye. "What is this problem of yours, anyway? And don't just start calling it a family curse."

"Look," Umehito replied, counting on his fingers. "It's this strange condition that no one really understands. It's happened to people in my family since we can remember, but it's unheard of apart from us. It's not life-threatening or anything but it's pretty troublesome. There is no known cure, even though we've had the best doctors working on this for generations now." He rested his chin on his hands, quite confident in his arguments. "Sounds like a family curse to me."

The worst part of it, Renge thought, was that this time he was actually being serious.

"You're impossible," she sighed. "There's no such thing as curses."

"Really. And what would you call it, then?"

"A hereditary illness," she replied, without hesitation. "A… really unusual, really weird hereditary illness."

"That's what I said."

Transformers: Animated/Harry Potter - The humanized AU in Hogwarts
Optimus couldn't say that he was surprised to find out that Sentinel had become Head Boy. It was to be expected, really. And he wasn't jealous, either; he wasn't the type. A little bitter, well, maybe. But he didn't want to be in Sentinel's place or anything of the like.

He only wished he would just shut up about it for five minutes. Honestly, that was all he wanted. It seemed even that was too much to ask for. Then again, Sentinel was pointedly talking at everyone but him, so he did the only sane thing: as soon as he saw his classmate sit down, he went to take a seat to the opposite end of the Gryffindor table.

There were very few people on that side, which meant he could relax for a little while, until the inevitable happened. As soon as the sorting ceremony began, the empty seats started to fill with first years. Some of the kids look excited, others looked shy, most of them looked terrified. Optimus couldn't blame them. They'd just heard Starscream's so-called 'welcoming' speech, after all. The Deputy Headmaster took great delight in traumatizing the students as early as possible.

Transformers: Animated/Whoverse - In which Optimus and the Doctor work together, and Starscream and Jack die a lot

"Of course! That explains everything!" the Doctor exclaimed. "He's a fixed point in time!"

"And that means...?"

"He's, well - he's a fact. That's why the TARDIS tries so hard not to get near to him. Well, that's why I'd rather not get near to him. He feels just... wrong, you know? Like he shouldn't exist." He paused for a moment, thoughtful. "It's hard to explain. I don't think anyone but a Time Lord would get it, anyway."

"No, I understand," said Optimus, a long-suffering expression on his face. "I think everyone feels that way about Starscream."
