J-Decker reaction post, kinda?

I know I promised long rambling meta, but pretty much all I can come up with is AAAAAH GAARDER AAAAAH ENDE AAAAAH.

So I'm going to quote The Solitaire Mystery:

I sat thinking how terribly sad it was that people are made in such a way that they get used to something as incredible as living. One day we suddenly take the fact that we exist for granted - and then, yes, then we don’t think about it anymore until we are about to leave the world again.

And then I'm going to quote The Neverending Story:

"Without memory, it says, he cannot come in. The snakes won't let him through."

Atreyu replied: "I have stored up everything he told us about himself and his world. I vouch for him."

Falkor listened.

"It wants to know by what right?"

"I am his friend," said Atreyu.

(For the record, I'll never understand why the English translation changed Fuchur's name completely instead of, you know, going for a phonetic spelling like Fújur in Spanish. AH WELL. I digress.)

And I'll keep my own rambling short:

I can't begin to explain how much I love that they don't only Become Real Boys, they actively choose to pass it on. True, it's Victim who ends up doing it, and I loved that too because chances for redemption make me happy. But all of them were willing to go and teach people.

They're all like Gaarder's Joker. |D I love my artificial beings, I always do, and these babies are adorable - but I wasn't expecting that.

Aaaah I loved this show. ♥
