Granted, it's far from being Disney's best work to date and it doesn't have the same ~magical~ feel we get from, say, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast or The Little Mermaid, but it got me laughing pretty hard.

Well, I'm a cheesy kid at heart. |DDD I really like all the ~love at first sight~ and ~prince charmings~ and ~happily ever after~ and all that fairytale stuff.

I was pleasantly surprised when I did watch the Emperor's New Groove, though! From the trailers alone, I knew it wasn't one of the ~magical Disney~ movies, so I didn't bother with watching it until a couple of years ago. I LOL'ed so hard through the whole thing I just couldn't *not* like it. XD

Oh, I get you. It's just that I also like to watch things with no romance from time to time. It's refreshing. Specially since it seems to be mandatory and shoehorned practically everywhere. :/ Not in Disney, though. Some movies/books/etc are meant to be romantic from the beginning and I've no problem with those. :p

I went to see it at the movie theater with my cousins and it was great! Not only because of the movie, but because there were only us in there, so we coud make all the noise we wanted. \o\

Yeah, you're right about that. I think that is the only Disney that I've watched so far without a hint of romance-- I mean, Treasure Planet is not Mostly a Love Story either, but they did make the captain into a girl so she could have a thing with the doctor. >>;

Haha, awesome! I think the only time I had the theater all to myself was when I went to watch Pokemon The Movie with my friends for the 215363125th time. We could cry all we wanted at the end. |DDDD;

... I don't even remember why I didn't like Pocahontas. I still love the songs, but I remember the movie disappointed me a lot.

I think there are lots of other people who didn't like it, actually-- there's a reason why it wasn't a huge box office success, after all. But I do think it's pretty lulzy.

Well, I'm pretty used to Disney's historical inaccuracy, so that didn't bother me. And I liked that the main couple didn't end up together for once. I mean, I cried my eyes out, but it was a nice change.

Even if I have to boggle at you a bit for The Emperor's New Groove, your shout-outs to Chicken Run and The Iron Giant tell me you have good taste. :D I watched Iron Giant when it was rerun on TV, and because I couldn't remember it ever being in theaters I assumed that it was some direct-to-video knockoff - and then by the end of the movie I was crying. It was one of the more pleasant surprises in my movie-watching life.
